Sarah Ferguson Responds to Birth of Grandson with Pic and Message on Social Media

Sarah Ferguson is one proud grandma. This week, the Duchess of York shared a photo of her newborn grandson, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, along with a heartfelt message on social media.

On Tuesday, June 6, Ferguson shared a photo of her grandson (originally posted by her daughter, Princess Eugenie) on her Instagram profile, where royal admirers can see her newborn son sound asleep in a white onesie and navy blue knitted beanie hat.

The photo features a touching message written by the royal duchess, which read: "Amazing..the importance of Ernest. Thank you [prayer hands emoji] soooo much..clever Eugenie and Jack and August Brooksbank..."

Just the day before, Eugenie, 33, announced that she welcomed her second child with her husband Jack Brooksbank, 37, and shared a first glimpse photo of their baby boy on Instagram.

The royal princess posted two snaps of her newborn son, where one shows baby Ernest sleeping (in the same pic Ferguson posted) and the second reveals her firstborn son, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, 2, gently placing his hand on his little brother's head.

In the caption, Eugenie wrote, "Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs." She added, "He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald."

Princess Eugenie and her husband (who have been married since 2018) announced that they were expecting a second child back in January. The royal princess shared a pic of her oldest son Augie hugging her baby bump on Instagram.

In the caption, she wrote, "We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer."

Welcome to the world, baby Ernest!
