Stylish One Piece Cosplay Depicts a Cool Vinsmoke Sanji

A talented One Piece fan shows off his cosplay of the Straw Hat Pirate's powerful and women-obssessed chef and brags about his Pop Tart-making skills.

The Straw Hat Pirate's chef comes to life in an elegant and fashionable One Piece cosplay.

Featuring a dark red suit with a black undershirt, the Sanji costume perfectly captures the blonde member of the Monster Trio's cool personality (when he's not fawning over women to an outrageous degree). One of the many online commentators asked if the cosplayer could cook, and he responded, stating, "I make a mean Pop Tart."

Other members of the Straw Hat Pirates have also recently inspired impressive cosplay. For example, Jennifer Torres shared her laid-back take on the crew's resident archeologist, Nico Robin. The outfit recreates the Devil Child's post-time skip wardrobe, including her navy blue leather vest and salmon sarong skirt, and is the perfect attire for a relaxing day at the beach. Similarly, Taryn Cosplay uploaded a video of their interpretation of Roronoa Zoro that hilariously spotlights one of the swordsman's most defining characteristics: his complete and utter lack of direction.

One Piece fans don't just celebrate Eiichiro Oda's masterpiece by making accurate cosplay; they also show off their creativity by presenting their own unique spins on fan-favorite characters. Genderswapping is a particularly popular practice within the One Piece cosplay community, with notable instances including TheLoneliestExpat's genderswapped version of the Desert King, Sir Crocodile, and Gia Isabella's feminine reimagining of the merciless Rob Lucci.

There have been other recent developments for the One Piece franchise beyond cosplay. In terms of new merchandise, manufacturer Tamashii Nations has started accepting preorders for a heavily detailed statue of Kaido, the King of the Beasts, that retails for $170, while Jimei Palace released an expensive statue that depicts the brutal showdown between Portgas D. Ace and Blackbeard.

One Piece stands as the undisputed best-selling manga of all time with over 516 million copies in circulation across the globe. The ongoing series, which first appeared in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in 1997, follows protagonist Monkey D. Luffy and his eclectic crew as they sail the Grand Line in search of the titular hidden treasure and in pursuit of Luffy's dream to become the next King of the Pirates. Both Oda's manga and Toei Animation's anime adaptation feature well over 1,000 chapters/episodes, and despite the narrative entering its final sage, the mangaka has reassured fans that the story will not end anytime soon.

VIZ Media distributes the One Piece manga in North America, and the anime series is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
